George Pryse-Rice died on 11th December 1971. He was born in 1904 and was educated at Eton and Cambridge, joining the 7th Hussars in 1926. He served with the Regiment at Tidworth, Colchester and Aldershot and retired in 1934.

He was a good games player, particularly of lawn tennis; a keen polo player, and usually kept a point-to-point horse. Perhaps he was more interested in beagling than any other sport, and he hunted a pack from his home in Wales.

He was a cheerful companion and a very loyal friend. Our sympathy goes to his family.
